Dish of the day: mashed potatoes

I've been taking culinary classes for a month now. What have we suceeded in cooking? Mashed Potatoes! Ahahaha! It's been lecture after lecture, or in most cases, the chefs reading the handouts out loud to us, while our minds float somewhere far far far away. 
Golly! Hirap pala maging chef. Today, during lab(kitchen) work we only stand up for 2-3 hours. My legs are screaming bloody murder! Pano pa kaya when your working full time na. You're going to be standing for 8-12 hours na! Yikes! Tapos, you're not going to be a chef right off the bat. Of course commis ka muna, in other words potato peeler ka muna for the first 3 years. Ahahaha! What have I gotten myself into?!
